These are my friends George and Amber Compton. They lost everything but the clothes on their back in the Lahaina Wildfires. I am starting this page on their behalf. They are homeless, partially jobless, and have to rebuild their lives from literal ashes. They have two kids in college who were thankfully not home at the time of the fire. Amber was born and raised in Lahaina and George has lived here for 35 years. The town they have lived in and loved dearly has been reduced to a pile of rubble.
Between them, they’ve worked at Hula Grill, Kimo’s, Merriman’s and Hard Rock Café. If you have been to any of those places, they’ve probably made or served your drinks. Their house is/was located a few blocks from Lahaina Luna at the base of the historic Sugar Mill Camp. If you want to donate directly to a family, rather than a corporate entity, please do so here. All funds will go directly into the hands of the Compton ohana to help them rebuild their lives. ALOHA NUI LOA AND MAHALO for your generosity during the unprecedented time of hardship.
