Aloha, we’re writing on behalf of our cousin Leic Langford and her ‘ohana, born and raised Maui kanaka family. Her house was just a street away from where the fire started. Leic and her daughter weren’t home at the time, but her two younger boys were. Her husband was at work and something told him to leave early and check on them, which may have saved the boys’ lives. Their oldest son, daughter-in-law and baby girl lived in the apartment complex right across the river from where the fire started. He was at work, daughter-in-law and grandbaby saw Leic’s entire street burn up, panicked and left for Chalyce’s workplace. Thankfully they are all safe and together Any help would be greatly appreciated to help them recover and rebuild their Lāhainā home. Mahalo nui!!
