Hi, my name is Jennifer Digiacomo. My father Joseph Pluta just lost EVERYTHING in the Lahaina fire. Thank God he has his life after escaping through a bathroom window as smoke and flames engulfed his home but his house, car and office, along with all of his and his wife Carole’s belongings have been destroyed. Consequently, they need help with food, clothing, medicine, transportation and shelter. Joe’s wife Carole Pluta has been battling Dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s for the past 10 years and requires full time care. Thank God she was safe with her wonderful caregiver Tu’u on the other side of the island, at the time the fire occurred, but her ongoing treatment is a large financial expense that must be maintained. In 2018 he was awarded the “Maui Peace Hero” award for his selfless service to the community of Maui. Not only has he donated his time, talent, energy and resources for the greater good of Maui throughout his past 40+ years of residency, but has also served our country in the US Navy. Asking you from the bottom of my heart to help this wonderful man get back onto his feet so that he can continue to spread God’s love, helping make miracles happen on Maui and throughout the world!
