I never thought I’d have to make a GoFundMe, but my family has been directly and severely impacted by the Lahaina fire on August 8-9. Fortunately, they are alive and safe, including mom (Vickie), Uncle Owen, Leah, Dave, and the kids. However, like so many other families in our community, my mom’s house – our childhood home – was completely lost in the fire. My mom evacuated with her two dogs, her purse, and two changes of clothes. Everything else is gone, including many things that can never be replaced. We have no idea what comes next, but we do know that the next few days, weeks, and months will be incredibly challenging and humbling. So we are asking for your help to offset the numerous anticipated and unanticipated expenses to help my family get back on their feet.
