Aloha, my name is Macy Catalano, and I’m raising funds for the Arakawa ‘Ohana. They, like many, lost their family home, belongings, and memories in this catastrophic fire which has burned down our entire hometown. Over the last 30 years, they grew their family and lives in the heart of Lahaina. Both parents Douglas and Lori Arakawa have called this house on Waine’e Street their home since the early 90’s. Doug attended and graduated from Lahainaluna Highschool, along with both of his children Austin and Amanda.
As integrated parts of their community, the Arakawa family is devastated by the loss of not just their belongings, but their neighborhood, and our beloved Lahaina. They are currently safe, but have no where to go or call home.
