We lost everything. My name is Steve Moyer, I arrived in Lahaina 46 years ago after serving in the US Air Force. I’m a Vietnam Veteran and an Agent Orange Cancer Survivor. I grew up as a military brat. Once my father retired I went in to the service. The first half of my life was constantly moving to different military bases. I’ve spent over half of my life living in Lahaina. I truly love Lahaina. It’s the only place that has ever felt like home. My roots are here.
My daughter was born and raised in Lahaina and attended all Lahaina schools. I’ve always tried to give back to my community over the years through volunteer work and civic organizations. Now I’m the one who needs help. I lost everything. I narrowly escaped with my life and the clothes on my back.
