My name is Leonore Amano. My brother Gregory and I have lost our family home due to the Maui Wildfire that tore through our town of Lahaina. I was at work when it happened, Greg is in Japan. Next door to our home is my mother’s home, the house where the two of us grew up. That house was also consumed by the fire.

Mom was forced to evacuate without being able to take anything with her, but she made it out unscathed. Not only did we lose both of our homes, we lost all of our possessions, including my car. My mom and aunty are currently residing with family members on Oahu. I am currently couch surfing with friends. Many of our friends, neighbors, and even other family members have also lost their homes, so any donation will be very much appreciated.

The funds raised will help provide us with the means to provide for basic necessities for daily living while we figure out the next steps on our road to recovery and our rebuilding efforts.
