My name is Newell Nacapuy. I am respectfully and humbly asking your support in behalf of my brother Amado Nacapuy and his Family. Foremost, we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Families from Lahaina who have lost loved ones; their homes, and businesses from the Tragic Fires. My brother and his family lost their home by the wildfires. They lost everything in the tragedy. Family heirloom, pictures, things past down through our family generations burnt to ashes and rubble as many did.

My brother took refuge along side on a dirt road up in the hills of the coffee plantation for 3 nights alone so that he could give up his spot for his family and other families who needed a safe place to stay at a hotel that was assisting Lahaina residents that also lost homes. Those 3 nights, he wept as he watched the fiery fire glow burn down his beloved Lahaina Town atop the Kaanapali hills.

The only articles of clothing left he had and his family was their clothes they were wearing. My brother lost all his diabetic and asthma medications during the fire but was able retrieve an inhaler and his CPAP during the escape for his respiratory management.
