Aloha, we are Ed & Michaelle Cheney and this is our story…

We are grateful that Ed escaped from the gridlock of cars trapped on Front Street while the fire was approaching as many others did not. We lost our home, work shop, supplies, several vehicles, our gardens and everything we owned in the Lahaina. Ed is a self employed “HandyMan” & “Maintenance” person. He has been on island 40 years helping to repair and maintain the homes of the community snd working 7 days a week. Michaelle works with several elderly caring for their homes. And manages multiple homes for off island home owners. Preparing them for owners and their guests.

Any money donated will go to help us rebuild, replace Ed’s tools and our business supplies so we can get back to work helping others. It will also be used for the loving animals we saved, clothing, food and basic needs. We took very little with us as our main concern was getting the animals out of harms way. We slept in our truck for 5 days until we were allowed to travel freely. We appreciate you taking the time to read our story and any amount you are able to contribute will be greatly appreciated.
