Cyrus Tateyama, who moved from his home island of Moloka’i, had made Lahaina his home since 1987. A hard worker, and an honest man, Cyrus lost everything that horrific night. Among these items were a lifetime of memories in photographs, family heirlooms, and personal belongings. Him and his wife, Kelli, are currently living out of their car with their dog while they seek an intermediate living situation where they can begin to rebuild their lives.
While it is impossible to replace the sentimental value of what was lost, we can help provide support and aloha during this trying time. If you have the means, please consider donating to the Tateyama family, as it is one of the best and direct ways to support our Lahaina Ohana. Together, we can provide them with the assistance they need to begin rebuilding their lives.
