My uncle David had lived in Lahaina for more than 30 years. A few days ago, his world was complete shattered by the Lahaina fires.
He came to the USA 40 years ago with nothing but the clothes on his back. Over the last 40 years, he was able to work and buy a modest home which he happily paid off a few years ago in Lahaina. He was ready to retire when the horrific fire burned down his home. Unfortunately, his house was not insured and he has lost everything. 40 years later, he again is standing with only the clothes on his back.
