I never realized how Aug 8th would have been the last day I saw my home. With no electricity and having no water later on in the day, was hard. I remember packing with my mom just essentials, such as clothes, food, and I took my laptop, and some of my textbooks for school. I didn’t pack many clothes, because I thought I would be going back to my house. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I haven’t grieved in a healthy way because I am so busy with helping my parents, making sure they take their medicines, paperwork, and many more. When talking about my home town, I get super emotional, so I tend to tune it out. But I know that the Maui community will stay strong together. We will come together as one and unite #lahainastrong
