We are the Kovach family – Matt, Nicole and our two young boys. We lived at the end of Front Street in Lahaina, and have been displaced by the devastating wildfires. While the structure of our home is mostly intact, there is toxic smoke damage from lead paint and asbestos that will require a teardown to the studs, according to the Lahaina fire chief. Additionally, much of our belongings inside the house will not be salvageable due to the smoke damage.

Because our house will likely take years to rebuild and restore, we are relocating to an unfurnished townhouse in Wailuku that needs everything from couches and beds to curtains and kitchen utensils. We are asking for donations so we can furnish our temporary residence and create a comfortable home for two young boys.
