Aloha. My name is Lauren Parks and with heaviness in my heart, I am asking for your Kokua. Tragedy struck our beautiful Lahaina and even with the amount of guilt I have and devastation caused, I can still thank God that I have still my baby girl, Rachelle. She was flown to Oahu and is being treated for severe burns. Unfortunately, my 18 week old granddaughter that she was carrying did not survive in her womb. Her husband, my son in law Marcus, is still missing. The last she heard from him was him trying to race home to get her. Cell service was lost and no one has heard from him since.
Imagine being away on a work trip and in the mainland when this all unfolded. I have so much guilt as I should have been there to save them all. We lost everything on Fleming Rd.
