My name is Vesta Morris, President of Maui Deaf Friends (MDF). As the only organization for Deaf people in Maui, the Maui Deaf Friends community has always been a tight-knit family, supporting one another through thick and thin. But now, our community faces an unprecedented challenge as a devastating fire has left many of our members without homes, possessions, and a sense of security. We refuse to let this tragedy define us. We are coming together to rebuild not just homes but lives. Your generosity can make an incredible difference in the lives of Maui’s deaf individuals and families who have lost so much. We will distribute the funds via gift cards for urgent needs such as food, medical needs, clothing and accommodations.
