Aloha, my name is Ashley and I was born and raised in Lāhainā, Maui. My hometown has been devastated by wildfires and almost everything is gone. We’ve lost lives, historic spaces, businesses and homes, including the house I grew up in. My dad has lived in that house for 46 years and his family built it from the ground up. We will now have to do the same and rebuild on my parents’ Front Street property. These are unprecedented times and anything you’re able to give will be greatly appreciated. Funds will go towards temporary housing for my parents and their pets, new clothes and necessary supplies as well as future efforts to rebuild our home.
