Our names are Julie Naslund and Malia Ferraris, sister and niece to Rita Lei Medina. My sister and auntie is part of the Lahaina Hawaii community that has suffered complete and total loss of her home and personal belongings as a result of yesterdays fire. Not only did she suffer personal loss, her workplace burned to the ground, as well. The blessings are that she walked away uninjured and in good health. Today, she returns to witness the devastation and begin putting her life back together. My ask as family and community is to rally behind Rita, in any way you can to help her with new beginnings. The funds will be used to acquire temporary and permanent housing, personal necessities (clothing, food, etc) and other household items to begin the recovery process. Mahalo nui Loa!
