My sister (Tiare) and three nieces (Ayanna, 15, Kawailani, 12, and Hina’ea, 9) are confirmed to have lost their home, my grandmother (Kathi) is confirmed to have lost her home, and it is believed my mother’s home (Tania, husband Kalani, and two sons Kaniela, 12, and Kalani Boy, 14) is also gone. We are unsure as the fire continues to burn. We are lucky that our family was able to escape with their lives. Which we are grateful for because the material things are replaceable. Not only have they lost their homes and all personal belongings but they have lost their jobs and any source of income for the immediate future.
