Aloha from Lynn Shue, owner of Village Gallery Maui, MauiÊ»s oldest art gallery open since 1970 showcasing original art by Maui’s diverse artists. As most of you know by now, Village Galleries Maui was destroyed on August 8th by the furious Maui wildfires. Our entire inventory of artwork was destroyed. Thankfully, all of our staff and artists physically survived.

Some artists also lost their homes as well as all their artwork. All have been able to secure temporary short-term housing through federal agencies and many acts of generosity from friends and new friends. Plans are forming to rebuild the gallery but It will be a very long-term recovery. Lahaina will rebuild and return to the thriving art and cultural destination that we love.

We have established this GoFundMe account to be the most direct way to support our many artists and dedicated staff. Some have lost not only years of precious artwork but homes and income sources. The funds will be disbursed directly to assist immediate needs as well as provide relief until the of rebuilding our Village Gallery Maui is complete.
